WM is seeking passionate finance and accounting students for a 12-week internship withinWMs Finance and Accounting groupswhich will consist of twoto three immersion experiences across departments including: Accounting Corporate Finance Internal Audit Investor RelationsTreasury & Risk Management and others. Successfulcandidates will be imbedded within our teams where they will have a mentor and the opportunity to network with entire departments to ensure their projects are successful.
Interns will generally work as part of a team within the Financeand Accountinggroup but may alsohave cross-functional collaboration opportunities toworkwith teams that include members from groups such as: Corporate Development & Innovation Digital Marketing OperationsSupply ChainPeopleorSustainability.
Past intern project topics have ranged from analyzing acquisition targets analyzing profitability across our operations and many more. Each interns rotations exposureand activitieswill be selected based on the Interns interest areas prior professional experience and the needs of the Financeand Accountinggroup. The position will include opportunities for exposure to WMs core businesses and WMs leaders. A successful candidate must be willing and able to build relationships and reach out to other groups within WM to gather information.
Interns will have the opportunity to see WMs operations up-close while also learning why WM is considered a leading environmental and sustainability company.
Successful candidates will have the opportunity to meet and get to know a number of Senior Leadership Team members including but not limited to our Chief Financial Officer. Interns areencouraged to get to know Vice Presidents throughout the organization to learn what drove their career success as they consider their first steps into their professional journey.
This position will be located at WMs corporate office at 800 Capitol Street Suite 3000 in Houston TX.

A. Education and Experience
Education: Interns must have a high school diploma or GED (accredited) and be pursuing a bachelors degree (accredited) in a field of study relevant to the internship. Completed Course Work Hours: 60.0
Experience: No prior work experience required.

None required.
