Job Summary

Position: Mechanical Design Engineer
Location: Phnom Penh Cambodia
Employment Type: Full-time
Salary: $3000 - $4000/month accommodation

Purpose Statement

Lead the design of mechanical systems and support electrical layouts for high-rise residential and hotel developments. Ensure all designs are efficient compliant and fully coordinated with architectural and structural elements.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver detailed designs for HVAC plumbing and fire protection systems in Revit/AutoCAD.
Prepare equipment schedules layouts and calculations (loads pressure drop duct sizing).
Produce technical drawings specifications and submissions for client/authority approval.
Coordinate with architects engineers and contractors to resolve clashes and optimize layouts.
Lead value engineering reviews to improve performance cost and sustainability.
Review shop drawings conduct site inspections and support commissioning.
Ensure compliance with Cambodian codes and international standards (ASHRAE NFPA).
Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance.

Requirements

5 - 10 years in mechanical design with exposure to electrical systems.
Proven experience on high-rise or hotel projects.
Proficient in Revit MEP AutoCAD MEP or similar BIM tools.
Strong in HVAC load calculations duct/piping layouts and equipment selection.
Skilled in CAD/BIM modeling MEP coordination and clash detection.
Excellent problem-solving communication and organizational skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
