Job Summary

The Family Supportive Housing Program Supervisor provides leadership for high-quality services to families in supportive housing. This position is responsible for staff supervision team leadership and the provision of some case management services within our portfolio in South Minneapolis. Responsibilities focus on helping supportive and affordable housing program participants maintain housing through community and individual programming that supports successful housing stability. Position requires proficiency of a Person-Centered Harm Reduction and Housing First approach to partner with participants from diverse communities who have experienced homelessness and behavioral health challenges.

Key Responsibilities

Supervision

  • Hire train supervise and support Family Services and Youth Services Coordinators to maintain quality and consistency within the program
  • Identify the needs for training and case consultation
  • Respond as needed to after-hours emergencies or incidents

Program Leadership

  • Work with team and participants to plan and facilitate community building activities resident meetings and engagement with the larger community. Help residents build social support with family peers neighbors etc.
  • Coordinate and lead workshops on topics such as housing financial literacy employment and technology parenting DBT skills etc.

Direct Service

  • Engage with participants to assess their strengths/barriers and create customized participant-driven goal plans
  • Support participant health and wellness through connections to physical mental health and recovery resources
  • Conduct home visits
  • Utilize skills and community resources to provide crisis prevention and intervention
  • Assist participants to maintain or increase income through benefits assistance or involvement with volunteering education and employment activities

Minimum Requirements

  • Experience providing strength-based service management direct service and developing supportive housing service plans
  • Ability to supervise and implement services that recognize and address mental and chemical health challenges cognitive disabilities domestic violence homelessness and re-entry challenges
  • Must have a valid drivers license a good driving record proof of insurance and a reliable vehicle
  • Experience with Motivational Interviewing Person-Centered or DBT skills a bonus

Minimum Technology Qualifications

  • MS Word Outlook and Excel
  • Electronic timecard system
  • Shared Computer Network (files drives and folders)
  • Apricot or other database systems

Education and/or Experience

  • Bachelors degree in human services Social Work or related field. Associate degree and significant experience with the target population may be considered as a substitute for some education
  • 2-3 years experience in providing services to individuals or families with behavioral health challenges and in a supportive housing environment
  • Experience in supervising and leading others preferred

Hours: Full time Exempt

Salary:$55000-$58000 Annually DOQ
