Job Description
Join Teledyne Storm Microwave and design cutting-edge RF solutions! Were a leading manufacturer of high-performance microwave cable assemblies and were looking for a Design Engineer to join our team in Woodridge IL. If youre passionate about precision engineering and thrive in a collaborative environment this role is for you.
What youll do
- Design and develop 50-ohm microwave harnesses and related components.
- Create and review technical drawings and customer specifications.
- Perform calculations testing and data analysis to ensure product reliability.
- Maintain bills of materials and routings in the system.
- Develop assembly instructions and design test fixtures.
- Communicate technical requirements with customers sales and internal teams.
- Prepare detailed reports and documentation for engineering projects.
What you need
- Engineering degree from a 4-year program; BSME preferred (required)
- 5 years of experience with microwave or RF products (required)
- Proficiency with Excel and Word (required)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills (required)
- Must be a U.S. Person (includes U.S. citizens lawful permanent residents refugees and asylees) (required)
- Experience with 50-ohm coax cables and connectors (preferred)
- Experience creating 3D models of components and assemblies in CAD (preferred)
