The Solution Manager is a strategic leader within the Alliance Team. Each Solution Manager leads an innovation portfolio aligned to EY business priorities collaborating across service lines Fields of Play and sectors to amplify solution impact. The Solution Manager should have a strong understanding of the relevant technologies and their potential applications in business. They should be able to identify opportunities where the relevant technologies can be integrated to transform and innovate solutions even if they are not technical experts. They are responsible for sourcing framing validating and advancing solution concepts into scalable and repeatable assetswhile collaborating across EY service lines Alliance partner stakeholders and client-facing teams.
The Solution Manager should have a strong understanding of Generative AI technologies and their business applications. They should be able to assess the potential impact of AI on various business processes and identify areas for innovation. The role involves identifying opportunities where AI can be integrated to transform and innovate solutions even if the Solution Manager is not a technical expert.
This role does not build solutions directly but plays the critical role of orchestrating ideation alignment feasibility and readiness for downstream execution through GDS and service line delivery teams. It is a unique hybrid role at the intersection of product strategy program execution and alliance activation.
The role sits in EYs Global Delivery Services (GDS) organization specifically within the GDS Growth & Innovation (G&I) function and will be global in nature.
Your key responsibilities
- Identify and curate business-relevant solutions with EY service lines and sectors and align them to the Alliances co-innovation priorities.
- Deliver a pipeline of scalable solutions that reflect joint EY and the Alliances strategic priorities.
- The Solution Manager will drive co-innovation and co-build efforts in collaboration with Microsoft product and engineering teams and EY delivery teams facilitating shared ownership of prototypes and MVPs.
- Accelerate innovation cycles from intake to pilot-ready prototypes through structured framing and collaboration.
- Ensure solutions are repeatable reusable and aligned with Service Line Fields of Play industry needs and/or alliance GTM potential.
- Bridge solution concept and delivery through alignment with EY service line teams CoEs/Tech Hubs Client Technology (CT) and Global Delivery Services (GDS).
- Drive stakeholder alignment across EY and the Alliance to ensure solution momentum visibility and support.
Essential Functions of the Job:
- Identify innovation opportunities by engaging with EY practitioners service line teams clients and alliance partners to uncover pain points inefficiencies and emerging needs that could be addressed using the Alliances technology.
- Evaluate and prioritize solution concepts based on strategic relevance value potential and technical feasibility.
- Curate and articulate solution scope requirements and success criteria in partnership with business leaders. Articulate business value build initial business cases and ensure solutions align with EY services and the Alliances ecosystem.
- Drive co-innovation and co-build efforts in collaboration with the Alliances product and engineering teams and EY delivery teams facilitating shared ownership of prototypes and MVPs.
- The role promotes an innovation mindset across projects encouraging experimentation and modeling entrepreneurial thinking and resilience.
- The Solution Manager will drive stakeholder alignment across EY and Microsoft to ensure solution momentum visibility and support.
- Collaborate with Solutions Architects to translate business requirements into high-level technical specifications that meet EY compliance and architectural standards.
- Oversee the solution portfolio in the Alliance partners portals/marketplaces in coordination with BMC and GTM teams ensuring relevance value delivery and lifecycle accountability.
- Promote an innovation mindset across projectsiterating solutions based on new information encouraging experimentation and modeling entrepreneurial thinking and resilience.
- Serve as primary point of contact for solution domain(s) maintaining relationships with EY sector leaders FoP owners and the Alliances directors.
- Maintain awareness of the Alliances roadmap and co-innovation priorities through close collaboration with the Alliance Solution Lead Engagement Lead and the Alliance partners stakeholders.
- Represent solutions in internal steering triage or GTM discussions; prepare business cases or pitch summaries as needed.
- Coordinate pilot programs and handoff readiness with solution owners and stakeholders.
- Support reporting and storytelling of solution impact by tracking adoption strategic alignment and contribution to EYs and the Alliances goals.
Analytical/Decision Making Responsibilities:
- EYs global strategic alliances are the most complex relationships due to breadth of relationship across multiple competencies sectors and geographies. They are also anticipated to result in a higher degree of revenue for EY and require a higher degree of collaboration. The Associate Director will be expected to influence senior level executives across both EY and the alliance company to drive the objectives of the relationship.

- Ability to balance enablement and development activities
- Evaluate activities efforts requests against agreed strategy and plan as well as EY policies
- Assess and prioritize financial requests against limited/set budgets
Skills and attributes for success
- Understand technology and business benefits of the Alliances relevant products and solutions
- Understand technical underpinning and challenges of Alliances products
- Have experience in solution development Product Management or product marketing for technology or professional services company
- Strong understanding of relevant technologies and their business applications. Ability to assess the potential impact of these technologies on various business processes and identify areas for innovation.
- Have experience defining solution development and management lifecycle and enablers
- Have demonstrated success in building and nurturing win-win alliance relationships
- Have strong networking and influence management skills resulting in driving actions to outcomes and delivering results actions across organizational boundaries
- Be a highly credible communicator with excellent organization and project management skills and proven track record delivering alliance sales and revenues
Supervision Responsibilities:
- No direct reports.
- Coordinate and influence activities across EY practice areas including Service Lines Growth & Innovation and Sector teams without direct reporting lines.
- Will also influence and provide guidance to resources in Service Lines Growth & Innovation and Sectors
To qualify for the role you must have
Education: Bachelors degree in a related field
Experience: Minimum ten (10) years of experience in consulting services technology development or consultative business/solution development with minimum five (5) years of those engaging with or leading strategic alliances.

- The role may require regular travel (overseas and domestic) up to 50% of the time as well as operate over multiple time zones.
