Our VAT Consultants are specialists in delivering VAT compliance services and tailored advice to a diverse portfolio of clients operating across various sectors and jurisdictions. They play a key role in helping clients navigate VAT developments ensuring informed decision-making in response to legislative changes.
Consultants are responsible for preparing and submitting VAT returns in all countries where clients conduct strategic transactions. They also manage client relationships and act as the main point of contact with tax authorities across multiple jurisdictions ensuring timely follow-up and resolution of compliance matters.
This role requires strong technical VAT expertise and the ability to communicate effectively with clients and tax authorities worldwide. It is ideal for individuals who enjoy researching and analyzing complex issues becoming subject matter experts and translating technical information into clear actionable insights.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Identify and understand the clients business and flows to ensure that VAT compliance is completed speedily and efficiently and submit VAT declarations and associated documents by the appropriate deadlines.
- Analyze VAT data submitted by clients prepare and validate the VAT declarations to ensure that completed forms follow legislation and regulations in each country.
- Point of contact with the client and preparation of report and advice emails to clients.
- Point of contact with the tax authorities in the countries where the clients have strategic transactions.
- Handle the reception and answer to the information requests and audits performed by the tax authorities on behalf of the clients.
- Assist the Senior / Manager in dealing with other intricate business issues of clients.
- Follow up on the processes of VAT registration / VAT deregistration processes to ensure that they follow the legislation and regulations in different countries.
- Helping businesses and individuals create strategies for dealing with VAT and prepare for their future in the financial market.
- Proactivity research and update of VAT knowledge data basis.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelors degree / Masters degree in Law Management or Economics. Fluent in English (spoken and written). Other languages will also be valued in the recruitment process.
- Professional experience of at least 2 years in a multinational company/environment.
- Fluency in German or French (C1/C2 level) and English (B2 or higher).
Computer Skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word Excel PowerPoint Outlook and internet research/navigation.
