Nuclear Radiologist MEDICAL UNIVERSITY OF SOUTH CAROLINA

The Department of Radiology is seeking candidates at the Assistant Associate or Professor level to cover all aspects of diagnostic and therapeutic General Nuclear Medicine PET/CT and Nuclear Cardiology services. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical skills in both nuclear medicine and PET/CT imaging and is interested in actively participating in growing our theranostics program teaching and research activities.

The position requires minimum training of an M.D./D.O. degree and completion of residency training in radiology/nuclear medicine. Certification (or eligibility) by the American Board of Radiology or the American Board of Nuclear Medicine. Applicant must have a residency or fellowship training in Nuclear Medicine and the ability to obtain a permanent South Carolina medical license before starting the position.

Nuclear Radiologist MEDICAL UNIVERSITY OF SOUTH CAROLINA

MUSCs Hollings Cancer Center is an NCI Designated Cancer Center and recipient of the ACRs Diagnostic Imaging Center of Excellence accreditation

The Radiology Department consists of 55 faculty including 6 physicists and Ph.D. faculty and 3 nuclear radiologists. There are 44 Diagnostic Radiology residents 8 Interventional/Diagnostic Radiology residents 4 Independent Interventional residents and one nuclear medicine resident. There are 4 ACGME fellowships in neuroradiology and non-ACGME fellowships 3 in breast imaging/mammography 1 in MSK 3 in body imaging and 2 in cardiothoracic. The department does 400000 examinations a year and is growing at 7-9% per year.
