Regional Process Safety Manager APAC - Your future position

As the Regional Process Safety Manager you will be a Subject Matter Expert responsible for developing policies around to process safety management in the production and laboratories of our two flavors and fragrances businesses. This includes technologies such as spray drying powder blending extraction compounding and chemical reactions. You will support and guide sites Process Safety Experts and collaborate with other departments to work on projects.

Reporting to: Head of Global Process Safety

Working location: 1 Woodlands Avenue 8 Singapore

Main Responsibilities

1) PSM System Leadership

  • Oversee the process safety management system for the Flavours & Fragrances business and technologies

  • Ensure compliance with corporate and legal safety standards ensuring the implementation ofPSM foundational blocks (Commitment to Process Safety Understand hazards and risks manage risks and learn from experience)

2) Risk Assessment Leadership

  • Lead process risk identification and assessment projects in collaboration with Operations Engineering and Maintenance engaging several stakeholders across the region and sites

  • Carry out PSM assessments plant inspections and audits

3) Technical Support & Action Implementation

  • Support the development prioritization and execution of risk assessment actions to address identified Process safety risks

4) Operational Partnership

  • Collaborate with operations to provide guidance and expertise on process safety to control Process Safety risks of chemical and compounding processes of operational sites. This includes the design of the plant the Integrity of equipment and the operation of the facility F&F technologies.

5) Methodology Development

  • Implement and enhance risk analysis methodologies process safety guidance technical guidelines and foster a culture of PSM

6) Risk Portfolio Management

  • Ensure regional PRA site catalog Governance and risk portfolio calibration related to process safety

7) Cultural Improvement

  • Help enhance process safety knowledge and culture on-site and beyond throughout the implementation of Process Safety Management Training

8) Cross-Functional Contribution

  • Participate in cross-functional projects for the site

  • Manage external process safety consultants

Main Requirements

  • Bachelors (or higher) in Chemical Engineering or Process Engineering with 8 years or more experience in Chemical Process Safety

  • Experience working in a multicultural environment and within a matrix organization leading PSM in a chemical and compounding production plant laboratories and R&D chemical plant

  • Experience in a field of control hazards of chemical and compounding processes of operational sites in the design of the plant the Integrity of equipment and the operation of the facility

  • Solid knowledge of ATEX Safety Instrumented Systems or fire prevention establishment

  • Certificate in Process Safety Management such as CCPS NEBOSH PSM is an advantage
