About the role
As a proactive HV Electrician you will be responsible for supporting the smooth operation of High Voltage electrical operations of the Defence this hands-on role you will be responsible for planned re-active and preventative maintenance across HV Electrical assets.
The ideal candidate will bring strong technical skills including experience in HV/LV electrical systems power distribution systems circuit breakers and control panels as well as comprehensive knowledge of electrical safety procedures and standards. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to national defence capability in a dynamic and rewarding environment.
About you
- Hold a Trade Certificate Certificate in III Electrotechnology
- Hold a Victorian (A Grade) Electrical licence
- Hold a current High Voltage Operation - H.V. Switching certificate
- Hold a current Australian Drivers licence
- Ability of fault finding on high voltage electrical assets and provide timely reactive maintenance
- Previous experience in completing work orders and verifying tasks in accordance with requirements
- Respectful and inclusive approach to working with diverse communities
- You take pride in delivering high-quality work safely and reliably. You follow established procedures actively look out for your teammates and understand that safety is a shared responsibility. You contribute to a culture where safety incidents near misses and hazards are reported promptly and constructively.
Must be eligible to hold a Defence Security Clearance. As a result of this requirement the applicant must be an Australian Citizen undertake and maintain a satisfactory Australian Federal Police check.
