Jamison Professional Services Inc. (Jamison) is currently seeking a qualified and motivated candidate for the position of Marketing Specialist I.
Job Title: Marketing Specialist I Delaware State
DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES:
This position is within the Cultural and Information Resources Services occupational group Marketing and Public Information occupational series and describes marketing and promoting products or services. Marketing work includes determining the demand for products and services identifying potential markets monitoring or studying social economic or political trends and making recommendations to maximize the sale or use of products and services.
REQUIRED AND DESIRED KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Applicants must have education training and/or experience demonstrating competence in each of the following areas:
Possession of a Bachelors degree or higher in Marketing or related field.
OR
months experience in marketing products or services by identifying channels of promotion distribution and advertising.
months experience in creating and editing marketing or advertising materials such as publications newsletters pamphlets or brochures.
months experience in interpreting laws rules regulations standards policies and procedures.
months experience in analyzing and evaluating data.
months experience in narrative report writing.
Knowledge of marketing principles and practices.
Knowledge of department and division policies procedures rules and regulations.
Knowledge of the methods and techniques of conducting market research.
Knowledge of market conditions situations trends economic social and political climates.
Knowledge of applicable state and federal laws rules and regulations governing assigned activities.
Knowledge of evaluating developing and implementing marketing strategies.
Skill in identifying channels of promotion distribution or advertising of products or services.
Skill in collecting and analyzing data.
Skill in coordinating and implementing marketing programs.
Skill in preparing reports surveys and documentation.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
Ability to apply survey results to marketing and promotional projects.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Reports to an administrative or technical supervisor.
Performs the full range of Essential Functions.
Contacts are typically with others in technical fields to gather and translate technical information and issues into forms more easily understood. Uses knowledge of resources to provide assistance.
HOURS OF OPERATION: 40 hours per week Monday through Friday (excluding federal holidays).
PRIMARY PLACE OF PERFORMANCE: This position is a statewide opportunity within Delaware. Candidates from any part of the state are encouraged to apply
