The Westfield Public Schools is seeking a Human Resource Generalist.
JOB GOAL:To assist the Director of Human Resources with tasks necessary for the efficient operation of the human resources of school district.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:- Develop and maintain spreadsheets databases and all HR systems related to employee hiring retention certification licensure and all other aspects of the employment process except for the administration of payroll.
- Assist and train employees and administrators in navigation of the HR systems.
- Serve as the primary liaison with employees regarding certification and licensure issues.
- Assist in the development and implementation of technology solutions for the HR Department.
- Coordinate and process entry into the system of new employees removal of departing employees and transfer of existing employees linking to the budget where necessary.
- Responsible for managing and updating employee data in MUNIS including but not limited to master screen accruals and deductions.
- Develop job descriptions and postings at the direction of the Director in accordance with applicable collective bargaining agreements and district policies.
- Oversee the maintenance of confidential files including all district employee personnel and medical files.
- Complete and file reports and surveys required or requested by state and federal law relating to human resources including but not limited to EPIMS EEO-5 Bureau of Labor Statistics Department of Labor Civil Service etc.
- Generate reports analyze data and statistical information regarding personnel and applicants as requested by the Director.
- Assist Director in the recruitment of qualified staff for the district performing analysis of needs and trends.
- Responsible for processing and securing SAFIS fingerprint data.
- Maintain database and process all necessary documents for civil service/labor service hiring.
- Work with Benefits Coordinator regarding benefits for school employees.
- Perform any other related duties as assigned by the Administrator or Superintendent.
REPORTS TO: Director of Human Resources
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Twelve-month year with personal services agreement.
EVALUATION: Performance on this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Westfield School Committees policy on evaluation.
