James Madison Universitys Facilities Management is accepting applications for a Plumber Steamfitter Sr. to perform Master level technical tasks in plumbing gas fire sprinkler and steamfitting trades. This position requires participation in an on-call rotation.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Participates as a member of a team providing plumbing steam and other trade services to complete assigned projects.
Services maintains inspects and repairs plumbing steam fire sprinkler food service heating and other equipment as assigned
Installs plumbing steam or other equipment as assigned. Installation may include design and/or specification elements.
Records and provides information as requested.
Communicated important information to the supervisor or other designated individuals

Qualifications:

Required:

Knowledge of and demonstrated experience with commercial institutional and residential plumbing heating steam equipment fire sprinklers food service equipment welding soldering and plumbing code
Master level plumbing/steam fitting skills
Good written and oral communication skills
Skilled in dealing with a wide assortment of personalities both directly and indirectly
Master plumber certification required within two years of hire into the position
Backflow certification required within two years of hire into the position
A Valid Drivers License
