Responsibilities
- Perform care as defined by clients individual Plan of Care and within scope of states nurse practice act
- Monitor patients condition and notify appropriate personnel of any changes
- Provide those services requiring substantial and specialized nursing skill
- Assures proper maintenance of clinical records in compliance with local state and federal laws
- Counsels the client and family in meeting nursing and related needs
Requirements
- Current unrestricted RN license in the State of Virginia
- One (1) year minimum experience working in ICU Step Down or ER with wound care IV insertion and port access experience.
- Certified CPR and negative TB skin test or chest x-ray
- Possess exceptional nursing assessment skills; analytical/critical thinker
- Ability to have flexible hours based on client population.
- Licensed driver with valid automobile insurance
- Must be able to stand walk squat bend kneel reach twist push and pull. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
Preferred experience: Peripheral IV starts/maintenance & IV Infusion Therapy; Injection and self-infusion training; Phlebotomy for adult and pediatric patients; CVAD experience & knowledge Port access Wound Vacs and PICC line maintenance.
