Job Summary
McLean Hospital Americas top-ranked psychiatric hospital is inviting applications for a full time Staff Psychiatrist in our adult Partial Hospital Program at McLean SouthEast located in Middleborough MA.
McLean SouthEast in Middleborough MA continues to expand its capacity to provide care to yet more patients and families in our academic specialty hospital services located in Southeastern Massachusetts. This includes opening all of the licensed 124 beds (80 adult inpatient 22 adolescent Inpatient and 22 CBAT / ART); as well as partial hospitals for adults and teens; a rapidly growing TMS service; and the MCPAP site for southeastern Massachusetts the Cape and the Islands.
Within McLeans depression and anxiety disorders division led by Kerry Ressler MD PhD who is also the McLean Hospital Chief Scientific Officer and a world expert in trauma and affective illnesses we are currently recruiting a full time Staff Psychiatrist for our adult Partial Hospital Program.
All of our McLean SouthEast programs are well connected to community colleagues in southeastern MA and the Islands and are closely integrated with our Belmont-campus clinical research & training missions and divisions.

McLean SouthEasts Adult Behavioral Health Partial Hospital Program (MSE PHP) is a mental health program that offers short-term insurance-based intensive day treatment for individuals with depression anxiety and personality disorders
Partial Hospital Services
The BHP is grounded in our core commitment to evidence-based person-centered care. Many individuals attend day programs after an inpatient psychiatric hospital stay or to prevent further worsening of symptoms that could require hospitalization. The program runs Monday through Friday from 8:30 am to 3:00 pm and the typical length of stay is three weeks. Treatment emphasizes group therapy structure skill building medication management aftercare planning and family coordination. Each patient undergoes a thorough initial assessment to create a personalized care plan based on specific diagnoses and symptoms aiming to support stabilization and tailored treatment goals. To maintain treatment continuity care is also coordinated with outpatient providers community agencies and primary care providers as appropriate.
The Staff Psychiatrist position will combine clinical care and teaching of Harvard Medical School residents and fellows. Salary and recruitment packages will be in accordance with Hospital policies. A Harvard Medical School appointment at the academic rank of Lecturer Instructor or Assistant Professor (full or part time) will be contingent on meeting the requirements for an HMS appointment.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities
- Experience in diagnosis psychotherapy psychopharmacology and other somatic therapies the formulation of treatment plans and the conduct of patient-specific treatment programs. (May be obtained during residency education)
- All employees must possess basic computer skills to use a variety of electronic or online systems for communication clinical and administrative purposes.
- Required to complete electronic medical records training and demonstrate 80% accuracy on competency test within 30 days of hire.
