We can offer you the following tasks

The Head of Engineering holds overall technical responsibility for the development planning and execution of industrial large-scale heat pump projects. This role includes leading a multidisciplinary engineering team and coordinating technical aspects in international EPC (Engineering Procurement and Construction) projects.


Goal-oriented and inspiring leadership of the intercultural and multidisciplinary engineering team
Driving the creation of efficient and standardized working methods (workflows/work breakdown structure standard documents work instructions)
Interface management with sales project management customers and partners
Responsibility for team performance through target agreements performance reviews and continuous feedback

The team deals with engineering tasks such as:

  • Technical design and optimization of heat pump systems and associated equipment (especially large heat exchangers)
  • Responsibility for 3D plant and piping design including concept and basic engineering
  • Defining the control and protection concept for the entire system and providing all necessary technical detail information for programming the system control technology and delivery of the associated control cabinets and controllers
  • Technical assessment and evaluation of offers for all system components and selection of subcontractors
  • Creation of safety concepts and documents for plant approval
  • Technical support for on-site assembly and commissioning processes

You can help us with these qualifications

  • Degree in process engineering mechanical engineering or a comparable engineering discipline
  • At least 10 years of professional experience in international plant engineering ideally in executing large-scale EPC projects
  • In-depth knowledge of thermodynamic and process engineering design of complex systems
  • Familiarity with 3D plant design piping design and basic engineering
  • Experience in the technical evaluation of bids and in dealing with international subcontractors
  • Ability to technically assess on-site assembly and commissioning processes
  • German and English: business fluent in spoken and written form any additional languages are an advantage
  • Strategic thinking for the development and implementation of forward-looking departmental strategies
  • Ability to motivate develop and retain employees in the long term
  • Experience with relevant IT systems and digital tools in-depth knowledge of MS Office and SAP is an advantage
  • Strong communication skills at all hierarchical levels and in international contexts
