You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailPerforms full-cycle accounting and month-end close activities for select operational units of the Company enabling timely and accurate financial reporting.
Collaborates with other members of the accounting team in reviewing and posting transactional batches preparing journal entries balancing inter-company accounts and completing account reconciliations and other month-end close deliverables.
Collaborates with various departments to gather and record financial data ensuring completeness and accuracy.
Maintains effective internal control processes to safeguard company assets and ensure financial data integrity.
Ensures compliance with accounting policies procedures and regulatory requirements.
Supports the external audit by providing necessary documentation and analysis.
Participates in integration of acquired companies into accounting function.
Identifies opportunities for process improvements and system enhancements to streamline accounting operations.
Supports project delivery and automation initiatives as required.
Contributes to a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
Other duties as assigned.
CPA designation or equivalent certification in good standing or in the process of obtaining a CPA designation.
Work experience with a major accounting firm is preferred.
Minimum of 3 years of progressive and relevant accounting experience with specific experience in month-end close processes.
Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
Solid knowledge of accounting software and ERP systems; proficiency in using Workday considered an asset.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and manipulate financial data.
Attention to detail and accuracy in financial analysis and reporting.
Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other financial analysis tools.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and support change activities aligned to the Companys priorities.
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Strong planning and organization skills including managing and coordinating month-end tasks.
Acquisition and integration experience would be considered an asset.
