Overview
The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for providing administrative and operational support to the company by performing a variety of HR duties in the areas of recruitment workers compensation employee safety leaves of absence benefits performance management and employee relations. The Human Resources Generalist may also assist with other human resources functions as assigned. The Human Resources Generalist contributes to the development and administration of programs related to the above mentioned human resources functions to meet the companys personnel goals and objectives. This position is responsible for ensuring that appropriate timely accurate understandable and professional information and service is provided to all customers of the Human Resources Department. Work productivity and quality is of the highest level and fully responsive to the needs of the department hospital and its customers.
Responsibilities
This position is responsible for ensuring the appropriate timely accurate understandable and professional information regarding the following:
- Leave of Absences and Workers Compensation
- Benefits 401(k)
- Termination process
- Maintaining Licensures/Certifications
- Maintaining Personnel files I-9 Documentation
- Maintaining confidentiality
- Assists recruitment as needed
- The Joint Commission (TJC) preparation
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Experience:
Minimum three to five years HR experience required previous experience in healthcare preferred
Ability to maintain confidentiality
Knowledge of HRIS systems Word and Google Sheets
Understanding of Californias Labor Laws
Ability to communicate at all levels across multiple functions
Education:
High school graduate required.
Bachelors Degree in Business Administration or related field; or equivalent years of experience.
