Job Summary

Physical Therapist Assistants in Prince Georges County MD interested in providing aquatic therapy in outpatient settings may pursue an aquatic therapy certification. Otherwise the primary responsibilities focus on delivering orthopedic care according to treatment plans developed by supervising physical therapists If the PTA decides to become certified they can utilize pools spas and other therapeutic methods to assist patients with orthopedic conditions such as sports injuries arthritis and optional water-based exercises if the Physical Therapist Assistant decides to become certified.

Qualifications
Graduate of an APTA or CAPTE-approved physical therapist assistant program
State Licensure
Basic Life Support Certification via the American Heart Association
