The Thermal Design/Analysis Engineer (Entry Level Associate or Mid-Level) supports the design analysis development and documentation of mechanical system and thermal environment for satellite product lines. You will be part of Boeings Space & Launch System Engineering team. We help our employees to see the full system picture of satellite design from the beginning of a contract through to satellite build test and final launch. You will get to see the full system and can participate in every step growing from an analyst to a leader or manager or staying technical and diving deep into an aerospace technology.

Position Responsibilities:

• Support the development maintenance or modification of system designs/proposals to provide design documentation and high-level requirements to downstream users/customers.

• Performs detail design and analysis development and modification of mechanical electrical and thermal system installations.

• Assists in preparing technical documents for mechanical components and systems.

• Perform thermal testing support and mission control support putting you in the driver seat

• Assists in establishing and documenting environmental/thermal engineering and system level design requirements (e.g. performance environment functionality life envelope integration).

• Assists in performing and documenting analyses of environmental/thermal components and systems using models and tools to validate or assess the design.

• Supports the development of ideas and concepts for future environmental/thermal control.

• Launch and On-Orbit Spacecraft Mission and Spacecraft Thermal Vacuum Testing support is expected.

• This mission and test support runs 24/7 for multiple weeks and the team rotates through support.

• Supports design analysis development and documentation of thermal environment for multiple types of spacecraft and structural electro-mechanical and electro-optical systems subsystems units and components.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

• Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology) chemistry physics mathematics data science or computer science

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

• Experience working in systems engineering or thermal subsystem engineering

• Experience working with Thermal Desktop

• Experience working with SINDA/FLUINT

• Experience in thermal analysis/design

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications as well as market and business considerations.
