What We Are Looking For

The Director of Planning provides strategic leadership and direction for the companys planning functions ensuring projects are executed with precision efficiency and consistency across a diverse portfolio of large-scale electrical construction work. This role is responsible for building and developing a high-performing team unifying company-wide planning systems and processes and driving innovation in planning prefabrication and kitting strategies.

• Serve as a thought leader internally and externally representing the company in industry forums peer groups and client-facing discussions.
• Partner with business development to educate clients on the value of advanced planning and prefabrication solutions.
• Ensure seamless collaboration with engineering procurement fabrication finance and operations leaders to deliver integrated project outcomes.
• Drive adoption of modern construction technologies (3D modeling digital workflows cloud collaboration) to improve predictability and execution.
• Lead initiatives such as company-wide kitting and prefabrication strategies in partnership with engineering fabrication and logistics stakeholders.
• Recruit mentor and develop a high-performance planning team fostering collaboration accountability and growth.

• 10 years of progressive experience in construction with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
• Proven success leading teams on large-scale complex electrical or commercial construction projects.
• Demonstrated experience managing budgets and financial performance.
• Track record of implementing innovative planning tools prefabrication strategies or digital workflows in construction environments.
• Strong leadership presence with the ability to inspire mentor and develop high-performing teams.
• Strategic thinker who can translate company goals into actionable departmental initiatives.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to influence executives peers clients and partners.
• Skilled at building cross-functional relationships to unify processes across departments.
• Commitment to continuous improvement risk management and operational excellence.

• Total comp package $150-190k/year DOE
