Job Summary
Position Title: Registered Nurse Emergency Department
Location: Watertown NY
Job Type: Contract Travel
Shift: Night (7:00 PM 7:00 AM)
Duration: 13-week assignment
Weekly Pay: $1800 $2232

Key Responsibilities:
Deliver direct patient care in a high-acuity Emergency Department setting
Identify and intervene in life-threatening conditions promptly and accurately
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive patient care
Function effectively under pressure in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
Utilize critical thinking and clinical judgment in all aspects of patient care
Demonstrate leadership by assuming charge nurse responsibilities as needed
Assess and prioritize patient needs including clinical educational and psychosocial aspects
Maintain accurate documentation and communication using MEDITECH
Ensure patient and staff safety including proper use of lifting/mobility equipment
Participate in ongoing training and complete all required certifications
Qualifications:
Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
Current New York State RN license
Minimum 1 year of acute care nursing experience required
Emergency Department or Critical Care experience preferred
Previous travel RN experience is required
BLS ACLS and PALS certifications required
Must pass lethal dysrhythmia exam during probationary period
Must obtain defibrillation certification within 6 months
IV therapy medication administration and phlebotomy certification required during orientation
Proficient in using MEDITECH EMR system
Preferred Skills:
Strong leadership and charge nurse experience
Excellent problem-solving prioritization and delegation skills
Exceptional interpersonal verbal and written communication abilities
Ability to work effectively in high-stress and emergency situations
Commitment to patient safety comfort and confidentiality
