Upper School In-House Substitute Teacher and Administrative Support
The Nueva School is seeking an in-house substitute teacher and administrative support for the upper school. The in-house substitute teachers work day is typically from 8:30 am to 5:15pm. It centers around implementing lesson plans in a range of disciplines for 9th-12th grade teachers who are not able to be in the classroom. If there is not a need for a sub in a given period then this person will be focused on covering the front and back reception their admin capacity this person will support the upper school administrative team as well as other school departments on projects or particular they would support tactical preparation for school hosted events such as back to school night board retreats large parent meetings admissions open houses college representative visits school tours alumni gatherings etc. Event tasks would include meeting set up (including picking up catering and delivering/setting up in the meeting room and tearing down afterward) event/meeting invitation sending name tag preparation sign making catering requests materials collation etc. The person will have exposure to multiple key departments in the school from admissions to advancement so its an ideal way to learn about the workings of an independent school.
The ideal candidate will be flexible enjoy working with students and communicating with colleagues and have some experience with classroom -house substitute teachers workon all days when students are in attendance but are off on all school holidays and non-teaching days and are fully benefited hourly positions.

Compensation and Benefits
The hourly wage range for this position is $25.00/hour - $43.00/hour. The starting hourly rate is based upon but not limited to several factors that include type and years of experience education level and expertise.
