Position Summary:
Ipswich Public Schools is seeking an energetic creative and caring individual to join our Teen Drop-In Program team. This part-time position is focused on supporting middle school students in a welcoming and engaging environment outside of regular school hours.
The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys working with teens can build positive relationships and is passionate about creating a space that feels safe fun and inclusive for all.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and engage with middle school students during drop-in hours
- Foster a positive respectful and safe environment
- Plan or lead informal activities such as games crafts discussions or creative projects
- Serve as a positive role model and build supportive relationships with students
- Collaborate with school staff and program leadership to ensure program success
- Maintain a safe and organized space
Schedule & Compensation:
- 15 hours per week with a consistent afternoon schedule (exact hours to be determined)
- $24.00 per hour
- School-year position (SeptemberJune)
Qualifications:
- Experience working with middle school students preferred
- Friendly approachable and dependable
- Ability to manage a group with patience and a positive attitude
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Must be 18 years or older
