Job Summary

The Stuart School of Business at Illinois Institute of Technology (Illinois Tech) invites applications for a full-time (9-month) assistant teaching professor; however applicants for associate teaching professor and teaching professor will also be considered based on the candidates experience teaching and educational record. Stuart seeks candidates with teaching interests in the areas of analytics management science and operations research. The successful candidate will be expected to (1) develop and teach the equivalent of six undergraduate and/or graduate courses per academic year in areas including but not limited to analytics artificial intelligence data visualization large language models project management and/or statistical modeling; (2) actively engaged in the advising of undergraduate and graduate students; and (3) participate in academic activities across the university representing the Department in committees.

Candidates are expected to have earned a Ph.D. in analytics information systems management science operations research or another relevant discipline. Candidates without a Ph.D. but with a masters degree and extensive industry and/or teaching experience are also encouraged to apply. Candidates with practical industry experience active involvement in education committees of their respective professional societies and a demonstrated ability to collaborate with other disciplines within the school in promoting innovations in teaching and pedagogical activities are also preferred but not required.
