About the Global Logistics Team

Ziplines Global Logistics Team ensures the seamless flow of materials and finished products across a complex international supply chain. From coordinating inbound shipments from global suppliers to managing outbound deliveries to our operational hubs around the world the team plays a critical role in keeping Ziplines manufacturing and field operations running smoothly. We collaborate cross-functionally with internal stakeholders and external logistics partners to overcome regulatory infrastructural and operational challengesenabling Zipline to deliver products where and when theyre needed most.

The Role

We will count on you to own Ziplines transportation logistics operations ensuring that our US based teams have the hardware and materials they need to do their work. Your responsibilities will include origin management from global suppliers destination management at the production facility and origin management for shipments originating at the production facility. As a key member of the global logistics team you will work closely with Ziplines manufacturing engineering and operations teams and ensure on-time and efficient delivery across the company.

What Youll Do

  • Transportation Management System Integration - Integrating transportation management information from Carrier TMS into Ziplines ERP system as a proxy for creation of an in-house TMS or procurement of an off-the-shelf TMS.
  • Trade and Compliance - Maintaining documentation to comply with US Customs Requirements; establishing/maintaining a database of Harmonized Tariff Codes (HTS) identifying opportunities for cost down (duty drawbacks use of bonded warehouses) to maintain cost control.
  • Freight Spend Audit - On a routine and recurring basis reviewing freight invoices to ensure that the services billed are services that were requested (legitimate shipments) are services that were received (services rendered and completed) and are within contractually agreed-upon rates.
  • Data Analysis - Run analysis for ERP/TMS transport spend and Customs data from Zipline systems and model total landed costs to present in data visualization dashboards.

What Youll Bring

  • A background in Business Operations Management Supply Chain or a related field.
  • Proficiency in data analytics tools such as SQL Python and experience building dashboards (e.g. in Mode or similar platforms).
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to manipulate and interpret large data sets to inform logistics decisions.
  • Clear communication and presentation skills with experience translating complex data into actionable insights for cross-functional teams.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems as well as logistics-specific tools like TMS WMS or procurement platforms.
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel and/or Google Sheets skills including use of pivot tables lookups and data visualization.
  • A proactive detail-oriented mindset and a passion for solving logistical challenges in dynamic international environments.

What Else You Should Know

Our internships are full-time positions in-person at our South San Francisco or Dallas office. We will host our Spring 2026 interns from January to April.

Candidates are limited tothree (3) applications within a 30-day period.

The starting cash range for this internship is $32 - 36/ hour. Please note that this is a target starting cash range for a candidate who meets the minimum qualifications for this role. The final cash pay for this role will depend on a variety of factors including a specific candidates experience qualifications skills and working location. The total compensation package for each role may also include: a housing stipend; overtime pay; relocation support; paid sick time; and more.
