Structural Engineer - Work Group LeadKBR Sustainable Technology Solutions (STS) provides holistic and value-added solutions across the entire asset life cycle. KBR is looking for a Structural Engineer - Work Group Lead to join our downtown Houston based team!
Functional job responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Under broad direction supervises and leads a group of engineers.
- Plan budget organize coordinate and control the project
- Responsible for design specification and services related to structures and foundations made of concrete steel wood or engineered products for structures platforms bridges pipe racks buildings etc.
- Responsible for employee performance appraisals and for coaching and developing lower-level professionals
- Devises new approaches to problems encountered.
- Performs work that involves conventional engineering practice but may include various complex features such as conflicting design requirements unsuitability of traditional materials and difficult coordination requirements.
- Provides technical guidance to designers and less experienced engineers.
- Job tasks correctly performed indirectly impact cost containment efficiency profitability or operations.
Required Education Experience & Skills:
- BS in Engineering
- 10 years of structural experience with an EPC company or Operator with average experience ranging from10-15 years.
- Requires sufficient professional experience to assure competence as a fully trained professional.
- Certification as a Licensed/Chartered Professional Engineer is preferred.
