The Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant utilizes advanced health assessment knowledge and decision-making skills they work independently and in collaboration with physicians and other health care professionals. APPs provide health care to individuals and families emphasizing health promotion and disease prevention. They may care for patients ranging in age as noted in age-related category and area of expertise. Position requires high level of customer service skills to establish and enhance positive relationships with patients co-workers and others.

PRACTICE SPECIFICS:

• Sites of service will be Virginia Duluth and Superior Wisconsin.
• This position is a fast paced acute walk-in care setting.
• Perks of the position: Acute care 1:1 provider to staff ratio excellent team opportunity to work at top of licensure high level of autonomy.

• Desired skill set: suturing ortho positive attitude and innovation.
• Ideal candidate will have experience in Urgent Care or Family Medicine
• Shift: 9 am 8 pm Monday Friday; 8am 6pm Saturday Sunday
• Anticipated Schedule: 10 hour days every third weekend

QUALIFICATIONS (minimum requirements):

EDUCATION:

Masters or Doctorate degree in Nursing or masters degree in Physician Assistant Studies from an accredited program.

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

Current NP/PA licensure in Minnesota and Wisconsin Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in Minnesota and Wisconsin Current certification in CPR. National certification in applicable area. Successful completion of Essentia Health credentialing process prior to practice.
