Job Description
NP: Masters degree in nursing
PA: Bachelors degree in a health/science-related field
JOB SUMMARY
The NP/PA utilizes advanced health assessment knowledge and decision-making skills while working both independently and in collaboration with physicians and other health care professionals. The NP/PA will provide health care to individuals and families emphasizing health promotion and disease prevention caring for patients from 18 years and older. Position requires high level of customer service skills to establish and enhance positive relationships with patients co-workers and others.
Work with a great team with a small town feel offering a ton of specialties/resources right on site. We are located close to Duluth MN (right across the bridge) and can utilize those resources if needed. Close parking near the building close knit team with emphasis on work/life balance.
PRACTICE SPECIFICS:
- The Internal Medicine department serves our community using a model integrating our MD APP RN CA and other support staff. The model promotes a culture of patient centered care as well as staff resilience while managing complex chronic health conditions.
- The ideal candidate will have a passion for their scope of practice and will be joining an enthusiastic engaged team of providers dedicated to our community.
- Providers see patients 18 and older.
- 100% Clinic time Hours: Monday Friday 8 am 5 pm with a potential for half-day Saturdays (1-2x/year) or evening hours (4pm 7pm)

QUALIFICATIONS (minimum requirements):
EDUCATION:
Masters or Doctorate degree in Nursing or Masters degree in Physician Assistant Studies from an accredited program.
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
Current licensure as a registered nurse in Minnesota Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in Minnesota Current certification in CPR. National certification in applicable area. Successful completion of Essentia Health credentialing process prior to practice.
