JOB PURPOSE:
The Financial Analyst conducts and documents complex financial analysis reports. This position develops and coordinates complex budget projects and processes and provides variance analysis modeling and forecasting services for senior management. Facilitates ongoing business processes by enhancing communication and coordination between various functional areas.
Qualifications
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position requires 2 years of experience working with a Non-Profit
- Coordinates the program budgeting and strategic planning process: develops and executes policies and procedures trains and assists budget participants communicates with management analyzes data and provides recommendations based on program goals and executive directions.
- Monitors variances analyzes trends and assists management and staff with forecasting and analysis techniques.
- Performs program efficiency reviews: researches situations works with operational area and develops and makes recommendations to management regarding program decisions based on knowledge of funders goals and financial viability.
- Performs financial analysis utilizing business case development processes and makes recommendations to management for decision-making purpose by gathering clarifying and presenting financial data.
- Applies budgeting concepts financial accounting and project management principals in performing analysis.
- Analyzes accounting records to determine financial resources required to implement programs and makes recommendations for budget allocations to ensure conformance to budgetary limits.
- Develops integrated revenue/expense analyses projections reports and presentations. Prepares detailed annual financial budget monthly financial forecasts and weekly budget reports regarding program operations.
- Assist leadership with grant application budgets.
- Supervises and/or provides guidance to financial assistance coordinators across multiple projects.
- Creates updates and analyzes reports and ensures financial information has been recorded accurately.
- Establishes and maintains effective working relationships and public relations.
- Facilitates interdepartmental teamwork.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION:
Bachelors Degree in Business Administration Accounting Finance Economics or related field and four years experience performing financial analysis to include budget coordination strategic planning business analysis or related activities OR Masters Degree in Business Administration Accounting Finance Economics or related field and two years related experience. Proficient PC skills in the use of Microsoft Office products.
Preferred: Scientific Advisory Group for Emergencies(SAGE) experience. Prior employment in non-profit and/or social service field.
