Job Summary

Financial Technology Software Engineer
This position will serve as the technical contact to maintain and support multiple software products used by Cincinnati Public Schools for the management of financial information. The Financial Technology Software Engineer will also serve as part of a team defining and documenting process improvements and system enhancements needed to support the Treasurers Office. The position will require knowledge of analysis design testing and documentation of requirements and system capabilities from a financial business and quality perspective. Technical expertise in business system design analysis and querying and reporting tools is required. Must have well developed creative problem-solving skills as well as the ability to analyze and connect data from different systems. The position will be required to create ad hoc and custom reports from various business systems. This position will also identify and analyze opportunities for efficiencies and quality improvements utilizing
standard process control tools. The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge of fund accounting purchasing procurement fixed assets accounts payable and receivable and payroll processing.

QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelors degree preferred in Information Systems Finance Accounting or other Business-related field or equivalent work experience. Experience with Accounting systems including general ledger budgeting purchasing accounts payable accounts receivable fixed asset human resources and payroll modules. Demonstrated experience as a self-motivated professional who consistently meets assigned deadlines. Knowledge of database technologies ability to create and modify SQL queries ability to gather report requirements develop use case scenarios and create test plans. Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to deliver both classroom and individualized end-user training. Ability to work in a dynamic environment with multiple simultaneous projects

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES
Design develop and implement technical/business optimizations projects for the
Treasurers Department.

Support and Maintain the Business Technology environments by providing 2nd level
production support.
Participate on implementation project teams and work with business process owners
contractors and consultants
Provide technical assistance in the delivery of implementations and software enhancements
Create technical design documents process documents and user guides
Other duties as assigned
CONTRACT PROVISIONS
TYPE OF CONTRACT: 260 - day limited
SALARY RANGE: Associate II Per CAAS Agreement
