We currently have an opportunity for an Assistant Account Executive in our Melville office.

Job Purpose

To assist account handlers in processing daily account activity. To provide technical support in accordance with company operating procedures.

Functions & Responsibilities:

1. Maintaining account folders in accordance with internal Quality Control guidelines

2. Check policy coverages and endorsement on all new business and renewals for accuracy and relevance

3. Complete specs prepare proposals policy summaries and reviews

4. Process endorsements placement requests and invoicing: Credit Debit Monthly reports

5. Review policies for accuracy and adequacy of coverage including rating calculations

6. Liase with Accounting department on research and justification of premium charges as compared with endorsements and invoices

7. Handle or refer insureds and underwriters questions

8. Perform other specific duties as directed by the Account Executive

9. Pursue a program of professional development

10. Begin studies for appropriate licenses

Qualifications:

Detail oriented with good mathematical and communication skills
Ability to understand analyze and research different lines of insurance
Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience
Good typing skills and computer literacy
Ability to work within designated time frames
Good interpersonal skills
P&C license preferred; must be willing to obtain
Strong computer skills; Excel & Word a must

The expected pay range for this position is $32.97 an hour to $39.56 an hour and will be impacted by factors such as the successful candidates skills experience and work location as well as the specific positions business line scope and level. Required Experience: 2-5 years of relevant experience

Required Education: Bachelors degree (4-year degree)
