Job Description

Job Summary

SGX is seeking an experienced and highly motivated individual to join the Equities business as a Senior Vice President. This is a senior individual contributor role reporting directly to the Head of Equities requiring both strategic thinking and strong execution capabilities. The incumbent will play a critical role in advancing SGXs stock market strategy driving key business initiatives that contribute to the continued development of Singapores capital markets. He will also support the President of the Global Markets Divisions on strategic projects.
The individual should be familiar with the Singapore stock market capital markets regulations and engagement protocols and capable of leading cross-functional projects and initiatives.

Job Responsibilities

Strategy & Execution
o Support the Head of Equities in shaping and implementing business strategies for the stock market.
o Translate strategic priorities into workplans and deliverables that drive tangible business outcomes.
o Take ownership of specific projectslead or be assigned as project ownerwith full accountability for delivery.

Project Leadership & Coordination
o Drive and coordinate cross-functional initiatives across Product Sales Operations Technology Regulatory Marketing and other functions.
o Serve as a central coordination point to ensure alignment timely execution and issue resolution.
o Monitor and manage project milestones risks and stakeholder communications.

Regulatory Advocacy & Engagement
o Act as a business contact for regulatory and development matters involving the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS).
o Ensure timely and accurate communication with MAS and support internal regulatory reporting and reviews.
o Work with Legal Compliance and Regulatory teams to uphold SGXs regulatory obligations and standards.

Market Engagement
o Stay abreast of developments of global and domestic capital markets and assess their implications for SGXs equities business.
o Drive relationship building with key stakeholder groups in the stock market.

Internal Collaboration & Stakeholder Management
o Work closely with senior leadership and various business units to execute business plans and projects.
o Develop presentations reports and proposals for internal and external stakeholders including senior management and regulatory bodies.

Job Requirements

  • At least 10 years of experience in capital markets ideally with strong exposure to stock markets.
    Proven track record in regulatory advocacy and engagement particularly with MAS and a solid understanding of Singapores regulatory landscape.
    Familiarity with Singapores stock market ecosystem including key market participants and industry developments.
    Strong project management skills; able to lead coordinate and deliver complex multi-stakeholder initiatives.
    Strategic mindset with the ability to think critically and execute effectively in a fast-paced environment.
    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; comfortable working with senior management and external stakeholders.
    Self-starter with high accountability professionalism and attention to detail.
