Job Summary
Ultrasonic Testing Level II NDT
Industrial Testing Laboratory Services is a local independent testing laboratory located in Pittsburgh; ITLS has been a leader in non-destructive testing services in the Pittsburgh region since 1959 and provides metallurgical nondestructive and mechanical testing services primarily to component manufacturers supporting the defense industries. We are currently looking for (1) Ultrasonic Testing technician to join our company who is willing to learn adapt and grow with Industrial Testing Laboratory Services.
Job Functions;
- Maintain safe secure and healthy working environment adhering to company safety standards
- Performs all duties as assigned
- Assists senior technician
- Performs duties assigned by the senior technician and/or Department Manager
- Maintains NDT certifications while pursuing advanced certifications in multiple testing methods
- Performs NDT inspections for which certified
- Interprets and reports results of inspections and maintains documentation of inspection activities.
Job Qualifications;
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Basic math and comprehension skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work in Microsoft Office Suite (Office Outlook Excel)
- Experience utilizing technology as part of job function
- Previous experience in NDT as a certified technician in UT Ultrasonic Testing (Required)
- Previous Certification to Level II in a minimum of one method (MT VT RT PT) (Preferred)
- Travel requirement; 20-50%
- Ability to handle chemicals in a safe manner
- May work alone with minimal supervision or with other personnel
- Proficient while working in a fast-paced team environment
Work Environment;
- Position is based out of Pittsburgh PA
- Working Hours are 6:30 AM to 4:30 PM
- Must be able to wear all necessary safety equipment as defined in company policy

Physical and Mental Requirements;
- Must be able to lift carry push pull or otherwise move objects weighing up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to be on your feet up to 8 hours per day
- Must be willing to climb ladder
- Pre-hire physical and drug-screening may be required
