Job Description
Purpose of the Position (Job Summary) :
Design Engineer In facade focuses on the design engineering and development of building facades ensuring they are structurally sound durable and aesthetically pleasing while also meeting functional and performance requirements. Specializes in the exterior design of buildings ensuring the facade aligns with architectural vision aesthetic goals and also addressing technical aspects like weather resistance and energy efficiency.

Key Individual Accountabilities :
Strategic :
- Prepares the design & drawings with responsibility.
- Work planning and time estimation. Able to plan work for self on weekly and monthly basis.
- Adherence to the design process.
- Understand the site survey and utilize the same to prepare the manufacturing drgs.
- Meet the delivery deadlines of design & development works.
- System design optimization in terms of specifications & material.
- Completing the assigned tasks within the stipulated timelines.
- Understand project requirments and plan the works as per submissions.
- Information flow
- Collaborate with internal & external customers to ensure cohesive project integration.
- Deal with vendors & SCM team proactively to ensure the timely completion of the development projects
- Good verbal & written communication.
- Align organizational need & individual growth
- Training
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members.
- On time and in full delivery
- Drawing quality and drafting skills
- Research and implement innovative design techniques and materials.
Internal :
- Sales Manufacturing Service/Installation Purchase Estimation
- Façade client Façade Consultants Site installation team Vendors.
- Behavioral: Work under pressure to deliver as per requirement
- Functional: Manage day to day work with proper planning
- Technical:
- Education B.E/ Mechanical (Diploma candidate may also be considered if the profile is strong)
- Experience Appx. 5-6 years in Façade Design and/or product Development (Min. 3 years in facade Design)
- Shall have experience in project & product designs.
- Shall have worked on some facade projects.
- Hands on experience in Shop drawings / fabrication drawings.
- Shall have understanding of the different façade systems.
- CAD Competency
- AutoCAD Mechanical Expert
- Solidworks Intermediate
- Good to have :
Experience in PLM Software and any other 3D modelling
Key Performance Indicators :
Key Performance Indicators :
- Delivery timeline adherence (Part Drawings Technical Manuals Shop drawings/fabrication drawings/ As built drawings)
- Design/Shop drawings approval by consultant (if required)
- Managing the product life cycle across the design and development process with required documentation
