Road Scholar offers a remote-first work environment. The compensation range for this exempt level salaried position is $67000 - $85000 based on experience.
About the role...
The e-Commerce Operations Manager is a pivotal role ensuring the timely execution of our website development and optimization strategy. This individual will own the lifecycle for key web initiatives from gathering detailed requirements to coordinating with cross-functional teams to ensuring timely delivery. A primary focus of this role is the management and administration of the Optimizely One platform. The E-commerce Operations Manager will also assist in the maintenance of the experimentation queue and process assist with privacy policy administration and provide essential operational support to enhance our digital user experience.
In this role you will provide...
Project & Requirements Management:
- Lead the planning coordination and tracking of key website development projects ensuring milestones are met on schedule.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans timelines and documentation.
- Gather document and translate needs from marketing communications and other departments into detailed requirements for new features experiments and enhancements.
- Manage and help to prioritize development and experimentation tickets in project management software (e.g. Jira Confluence) ensuring accuracy and clarity.
- Facilitate regular stakeholder meetings to drive project progress report on status and resolve issues.
Platform & Experimentation Administration (Optimizely):
- Serve as the lead administrator and SME for the Optimizely One platform.
- Assist in the management of the web experimentation and personalization queues ensuring a consistent and strategic flow of tests.
- Oversee all platform-related tasks including:
- Troubleshooting user issues and managing access for new employees.
- Maintaining and updating user teams content templates and workflows.
- Performing regular content uploads (e.g. monthly email lists annual print lists).
- Submitting and tracking platform feature requests with the vendor.
Process and Training Support:
- Develop and maintain a centralized resource hub for all platform documentation training materials meeting notes and team deliverables.
- Lead change management efforts related to new platform features or process updates ensuring all teams are informed and trained.
- Onboard and train new employees on Optimizely Opal and related internal processes.
- Schedule and facilitate team meetings office hours and vendor-led training sessions.
- Participate in the management and administration of website privacy policies.
Were seeking...
- Bachelors degree in Business Marketing Project Management or a related field.
- 3 years of experience in e-commerce digital marketing or a related field.
- Demonstrated project management experience is required.
- Experience with Optimizely platforms strongly preferred.
- Experience with web analytics tools (e.g. Google Analytics).
- Proven experience using project management software (e.g. Jira).
- Exceptional project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong ability to gather and document complex requirements.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced collaborative cross-functional environment.
