Job Description
As part of the Drug Product Division (DPD) the Greenville North Carolina site is a multi-purpose pharmaceutical development manufacturing and packaging campus. The operation specializes in taking both sterile injectable and oral solid dose drug products from development phase through to commercialization.
Location: Greenville NC
Shift Schedule - 12 hour shift (day/night rotation). The schedule rotates days/nights each week. You work two weekends in a row then off two.
Week 1: M T W TH - Days
Week 2: F S Su M - Nights
Week 3: F S Su - Days
Week 4: T W Th - Nights
How Will You Make an Impact
Apply experience to maintain fast-paced fire tube and water tube boilers water systems and utility systems as needed.
A Day in the Life:
- Manage boiler systems and related physical plant equipment including cooling towers air compressors and water systems following SOPs and department needs.
-Run and sustain High Quality Water systems - covering WFI PFW built by Reverse Osmosis units and Distillation units.
- Lead and assist other team members to maintain computer controls and review recorded operating data. Resolve issues to ensure continuous operations and communicate status including failures/corrective actions and readiness to management.
- Maintain housekeeping services in utilities areas and communicate concerns.
- Work rotational shifts including days nights weekends holidays and some non-scheduled days.
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent experience required.
- Associates in applied science in a related field preferred but not required.
Experience:
- Required: Minimum of 4 years of work experience in plant equipment operation including boiler operations air compressors or related field.
- Preferred: Experience in a cGMP environment.
Knowledge Skills Abilities:
- Skilled in problem analysis planning and organization.
- Strong attention to detail oral and written communication skills.
- Proficient in the use of highly technical diagnostic and test equipment.
- Ability to read and comprehend blueprints manuals and training materials.
- General trades knowledge such as HVAC electrical and mechanical tasks.
Physical Requirements / Work Environment:
- Work in mechanical spaces which may not be climate controlled; outside work is required at times.
- Wear gowning which includes gloves hair & beard net and face cover safety glasses with no makeup/jewelry and the like.
- Use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and understand chemical hygiene.
- Infrequently lift and manipulate up to 25 pounds unassisted.
- Stand and move about including reaching bending stooping and grasping.
- Use hand tools and equipment including forceful gripping grasping pushing and pulling.
- Must move around office stand walk stoop kneel crouch and handle light to medium weights.
- Ability to climb ladders and work at heights.
