Job Description
Do you want to help us develop tomorrows hygiene and health products and be part of our Scientific Research team We are now looking for a Research Engineer to join our R&D Research laboratory in Mölndal.
About the Role
As a Research Engineer you will be working closely together with our Scientists and have a broad and active role in our activities and projects. The position involves performing chemical analyses material characterizations development of laboratory methods development of technical solutions and providing expert support.
What You Will Do
Evaluating new solutions and concepts as a research laboratory expert in enabling projects activities and innovation projects.
Provide the team and the organization with knowledge analysis results and recommendations within our strategic research areas.
Develop evaluate and validate new laboratory methods to support research activities product development and claim support.
Suggest and explore alternative analysing technologies and methodologies to verify research hypothesis in new areas or when no relevant methods exist.
Represent Essity in cooperation with external test institutes universities and standardization bodies as well as contract/clinical research.
Work compliantly with appropriate regulatory and safety requirements according to procedures and instructions in the laboratory quality system.
Who You Are
. (or equivalent) in Chemistry Polymeric Science Analytical Chemistry Materials Science or a related field; alternatively a . with extensive relevant professional experience.
Relevant professional experience preferably five years or more.
Knowledge in the area of chemistry and chemical analyses.
Knowledge in material characterization is advantageous.
Experience in statistical analysis and analytical programs.
Fluent in English both verbally and written.
To be successful in this role you need to have an interest in scientific research laboratory testing also enjoy working in a high pace project environment. Furthermore we see that you have a creative mindset value accuracy and that you are result oriented. To work and collaborate effectively during changes is a great advantage. You are someone who rather sees possibilities and are customer and consumer driven. You have a proven ability to educate and transfer knowledge to others. You are skilled at adapting your messages to different target groups and communicating effectively with people at all levels both internally and externally.
