ATTRIBUTES & SKILLS:
Responsibilities:
- Professionally design and develop innovative design solutions and products in a fast-paced team environment.
- Provide solid modeling and prototype support on technology development and new product development projects.
- Using sound engineering principles refine concepts into reliable designs that meet performance compliance product integrity and aesthetic requirements.
- Design for manufacturability for China production environments.
- Generate part specifications including detailed drawings and specifications.
- Communicate design to team members and China factories.
- Perform product prototyping and testing write test requests and obtain quotes from internal and external sources.
- Support continuous improvement of existing products.
Experience required:
- Around 5-8 years experience in product development in high volume consumer products Mobile Robotic products preferred.
- 3D CAD proficiency design experience in multiple processes such as: plastic injection molding die-casting sheet metal machining processes and assembly processes.
- Experience working effectively in a cross-functional team environment is essential.
- Good knowledge of Design processes including DFME FEA DFM etc.
Education background required:
BS in Mechanical Engineering Electrical Engineering Robotics or Mechatronics
Functional Skills/Knowledge:
- Good command of English speaking and writing.
- Ability to work with flexible adaptable teams and processes that embrace and cope with change and uncertainty.
- Ability to support at least multiple projects simultaneously.
- Detail-oriented versatile organized articulate and professional.
Other Requirements
- Traveling to supplier factory / staying in factory is required
- Occasional international travel to visit suppliers or other SharkNinja offices may be required.
- Ability to work under pressure and work overtime if required at peak project times.
