• Possible responsibility for planning day to day shipments and deliveries
• Ensuring that all orders are loaded and shipped in a timely and safe manner;
• Perform general physical activities in order to load unload sort and move shipments by hand or using material handling equipment;
• Ensure that customer requirements are being met consistently;
• Examine shipment contents and compare with records such as manifests invoices or orders to verify accuracy of shipment;
• Verification of corner markers and counts
• Pack seal and label materials to prepare for shipping;
• Perform tasks in multi-temperature environments;
• Prepare documents such as work orders bills of lading and shipping orders to route materials;
• Complete daily shipping and receiving logs;
• Record shipment data for reporting accounting and recordkeeping purposes;
• May contact carrier representative to make arrangements and to issue instructions for shipping and delivery of materials;
• Maintain cleanliness in shipping and receiving area.
