Job Summary
The BC Primary Health Care Research Network (BC-PHCRN) is one of many provincial networks across Canada that leads research in primary health care and contributes to evidence-informed transformation of primary and integrated health care under the umbrella of the Canadian Primary Care Research Consortium (CPCRC). The CPCRC facilitates collaborations between government health authorities health professionals patients and researchers on a pan-Canadian scale and is committed to fostering innovation improving healthcare outcomes and ensuring that research informs and enhances primary care practices nationwide.
This position will work on a longitudinal research project under the BC-PHCRN called Optimizing Teams for Interprofessional Care in Primary Health Care Teams (OPTIC-PHC). This research study seeks to understand the processes and mechanisms that lead to high performing interprofessional primary health care teams. The project will undertake longitudinal mixed-methods case studies of interprofessional primary health care teams located in Ontario British Columbia and Nova Scotia. The Research Coordinator (OPTIC-PHC) role will support project planning from end to end as well as data analysis while collaborating with other provincial research teams. This role requires solid communication interpersonal and organizational skills to advance the overall goals and initiatives of the project.
Organizational Status
The Research Coordinator (OPTIC-PHC) reports directly to Dr. Sabrina Wong co-director of the BC-PHCRN and regional co-investigator of the OPTIC-PHC project. The Research Coordinator will also work closely with a post-doctoral position that will manage the provincial activities. The Research Coordinator works collaboratively with other research teams across Canada who are involved in the project as well as BC-PHCRN staff.

The quality and productivity of the Network could be significantly impacted major errors in performance of the above-related duties. As well there could be impacts on the effectiveness reputation collaborations and funding status of the Network.

Receives supervision from Dr. Sabrina Wong and postdoctoral fellow who will be manage this project.

Minimum Qualifications
Completion of a university degree in a relevant discipline or technical program and a minimum four years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Some positions may require a graduate degree.
