Job Summary

Role:

TheDeposit Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of depositoperations within the credit union including ACH processing check processingwire transfer program remote deposit processing and assisting with cardsettlement. This role ensures compliance with regulatory requirementsoptimizes operational efficiency and manages risk in relation to deposit andpayment systems. The manager will also lead a team providing guidance andsupport to ensure smooth and accurate transaction processing.

This is a full-time salaried position (40 hours/week). Working hours willgenerally fall between 8:30am-5:30pm.
This position will be full-time in person at our Bloomington Adminoffice.

Salary Range: $65000 - $70000.

Responsibilities

  • Operational Management:

Overseethe processing of all deposit-related functions including wires EFTs ACHtransactions and mobile deposits.

Manageand monitor daily operational workflows to ensure accuracy timeliness andcompliance.

Ensurethe proper handling of rejected returned and exception items for wires EFTACH and mobile deposits.

Coordinatethe resolution of any operational issues related to deposit services.

  • Compliance & Risk Management:

Ensurethat all processes follow relevant laws and regulations including NACHA RegE and BSA/AML requirements.

Regularlyreview and update policies and procedures for deposit operations in accordancewith regulatory changes.

Conductaudits and risk assessments to ensure ongoing compliance and risk mitigation.

  • Team Leadership & Development:

Leadmentor and develop a team of deposit operations specialists providingtraining on processes compliance and fraud detection.

Fostera positive and collaborative team environment focused on efficiency accuracyand continuous improvement.

Setperformance goals for the team and conduct regular evaluations.

  • Process Improvement & Technology:

Collaboratewith IT and product development teams to enhance operational efficiency throughsystem upgrades automation and new technology implementations.

Analyzedata to identify trends and opportunities for process improvements optimizingworkflow and reducing risk.

Maintainstrong working relationships with vendors and service providers.

Knowledgeand Skills:

  • Bachelors degree in finance Business Administration or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in deposit operations or a related area.
  • NCP (National Check Professional) certification and/or AAP (Accredited ACH Professional) or APRP (Accredited Payments Risk Professional) accreditation is welcomed.
  • Strong knowledge of ACH wire transfer and check processing.
  • Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.

PhysicalRequirements:

  • Orientation: This position primarily requires sitting and walking.
  • Standing: the ability to stand for an extensive amount of time.
  • Talking: The ability to express or exchange ideas by means of spoken word to communicate information to members and coworkers.
  • Hearing/Listening: The ability to perceive and react to the nature of sounds by ear.
  • Lifting: The ability to occasionally lift/lower objects of between 10 and 25 accommodations to these requirements will be made for employees with disabilities.
  • Work Environment:Works in a typical office environment Lighting and temperature levels will be moderate and noise levels are generally quiet.
