This role presents a great opportunity at all levels to develop new skills and productively contribute to an ever changing environment. The New Zealand Police Digital Forensics Unit is part of the High Tech Crime Group and play a crucial role in all digital aspects of an investigation. You will receive training and gain valuable on the job experience as you become an expert in digital forensics. You will assist investigations from planning through to expert witness testimony you will need to demonstrate your IT knowledge and how to apply it to add value to investigations. You will use an array of communication skills to convey technical information to abroad audience.
Digital Forensic Technician
The Digital Forensics Unit has a career structure which progresses staff from Technician level through to Analyst. Over a period of as little as 30 months the successful candidates will develop the critical thinking gain skills practical hands-on experience and be part of a very special organisation.
Digital Forensic Analyst
You will already have practical real world digital forensic experience and have a certification as IACISs CFCE SANS GCFE or similar.

Utu ā-tau Salary
This position is covered by a collective agreement with the salary for the Digital Forensic Technician set at $82747 and the Digital Forensic Analyst set at $106864
