Guidewire Tech Lead

Now you have the opportunity to play a crucial role in the tech community around the strategic policy platform in If Insurance Guidewire.

The transformation from legacy core policy systems to the standard platform Guidewire has been ongoing for several years and now the time has come to move the program to our brand new scaled agile setup the Guidewire DK Tribe.

About the role

You will act as a Tech Lead in one of the squads in the newly established Guidewire Tribe. As Tech Lead you will be accountable for the technical solutions of the squad making sure that the solutions adhere to the technical quality standards that is set in the Tribe.

Furthermore you will take the role as Chapter Lead for the remaining Tech Leads in the Tribe. This role entails being the manager of the Tech Leads and establishing a community where technical standards and best practices are shared and cascaded through the Tribe from Architects to Tech Leads to Developers.

About the team

You will be a part of the Mobility & Partnership squad where you take the role as Tech Lead. The squad works with integration solutions within partnerships in the auto and other industries. The squad is working from the scrum principles and have the roles PO SM BA DEV QA. The squad works within a scaled agile method based on the Spotify model.

The Chapter that you will be leading consist of approx. 10 very skilled colleagues who are in both Denmark and our office in Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia).

The teams are part of a Tribe of around 150 talented colleagues from both IT and business. The Tribes mission is to service Business Area Private DK and Agriculture DK. We actively develop and run a modern core system platform moving beyond legacy limitations to ensure that we continuously meet future demands. By building on business needs and IT guidelines we enable efficient operations product agility and excellent customer experiences.

Who are you

We are looking for a passionate and experienced Tech Lead. The following competencies are important to succeed in this role:

• Preferably strong technical expertise in Guidewire products (InsuranceSuite PolicyCenter and Guidewire integrations)
• Proficiency in Java XML SQL and related technologies
• Deep understanding of software architecture design patterns and best practices
• Experience in guiding cross-functional teams through technical challenges
• Ability to perform code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies and DevOps practices
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to mentor and support team members technically
• Experience and/or desire to lead other Tech Leads through servant leadership
