Overview of the Business:

US Consumer Services (USCS) is responsible for driving profitable growth of American Express US Consumer portfolio by acquiring outstanding new customers and deepening Card Member Engagement and Loyalty through developing differentiated products & partnerships and strengthening our membership services offerings across Travel Dining Lifestyle and Banking.

Our mission is to make Amex membership an indisputable competitive advantage and help each other become better leaders every day. Our Strategy is focused on building a strong premium Card business differentiated by Membership which is brought to life by connecting our Card Members to what they love.

Responsibilities:

Specific job responsibilities span mainly across the following three broad teams within USCS in India:

  1. U.S. Consumer Marketing responsible to drive revenue growth and investment efficiency by acquiring new customers onboarding engaging and retaining them through marketing programs and acquisition offers while managing credit quality and minimizing gaming.
  2. U.S. Consumer Product Management & Lending responsible to drive profitable growth by developing and enhancing products and services to strengthen Membership and deepen loyalty and engagement and meet our customers evolving buying and payment needs.
  3. U.S. Consumer Operational Excellence responsible to mitigate risk and strengthen control environment and thereby ensure we deliver on the customer promise for our products and services.

There is a single job family within each of these teams to solve the business problems mentioned above:

  1. Strategic Business and Analytical Solutions: Development review and/or execution of business strategies & analytical solutions to drive profitable business actions.

Generally the role will entail the following responsibilities:

  • Understand the core business of AXP and the levers behind various decisions
  • Understand the specific business problem at hand and analyze relevant data to derive business insights and crafting implementing innovative marketing solutions
  • Translate business insights to implementable solutions such as marketing or product development strategies.
  • Partner with functional leaders Strategic Business Partners and Senior leaders
  • Strong analytical skills: Applying analytical thinking to diagnose business needs and to establish analytical hypothesis and solutions. Drive insights and recommendations on marketing and product solutions
  • Clear articulation and structuring of business findings across prospect and customer domain to the leadership and key partners
  • Conceptualize and develop frameworks and solutions to solve business needs such as customer matching algorithms incorporating statistical robustness
  • Maintain external lens and be aware of developments in the field of digital analytics and recommend changes/ experimentation focus areas in digital product experience for prospects and customers
  • Deliver on MIS products & data solutions across multiple stages of prospect acquisition and customer management. Standardize and automate custom measurement methodologies and processes wherever possible
  • Using data from various sources to generate user-centered analyses to influence partners on prospect and customer experience improvements that will drive higher conversion for various user segments
  • Adapt to emerging technology to develop clean well implemented concepts and coordinate with cross functional teams on new solutions.
  • Attend ad-hoc requests on solution support without impacting quality or timeliness.
  • Drive Automation and ongoing refinement of analytical frameworks execution of ideas and results

  • Good Programming skills are a plus
  • Knowledge of SQL Python is a plus
  • Knowledge of MS Office PowerPoint Excel

Job Location: Hybrid (Gurgaon) depending on business requirements
