As an Education Consultant in the Office of Assessments Accountability and Analytics you will lead statewide efforts to support students with significant disabilities and English Learners in the Louisiana School and District Accountability this role you will design resources policies and communications for local education authorities oversee quality control of assessments and ensure data accuracy and test security. Success requires strong program administration attention to detail and a deep commitment to equity in education. Minimum Qualifications
Five years of experience in education teaching or administrative services; OR
Six years of full-time work experience plus two years of experience in education teaching or administrative services; OR
A bachelors degree plus two years of experience in education teaching or administrative services; OR
An advanced degree plus one year of experience in education teaching or administrative services.

Job Duties and Other Information
Job Duties:
- Develop resources and communications to support assessment and accountability programs for students with significant disabilities and English Learners.
Provide guidance to school systems on policies procedures and laws for both summative and non-summative assessments.
Support the development and implementation of goals and objectives for statewide assessment and accountability programs.
Collaborate with LDE staff to ensure resources and practices align with the Louisiana School and District Accountability Program.
Monitor and ensure smooth implementation of statewide assessment and accountability initiatives.
Conduct quality control reviews of assessments including text-to-speech technology and other test forms.
Review data certification submissions in line with statewide assessment and accountability policies.
Participate in test monitoring to ensure test security and the validity of student results.
Analyze accountability data for irregular patterns and conduct audits when necessary.
Evaluate district and school requests for data corrections and provide clear explanations for approval or rejection.
Document data revisions to guide technical staff in producing valid accountability scores.
Perform additional duties as assigned by the Division Director or Assistant Superintendent.
Position-Specific Details:
Appointment Type:Probational Promotional or Job Appointment.The person hired for this position is expected to regularly report to the Baton Rouge office.Current permanent classified state employees may be required to accept a probationary appointment if selected.
Career Progression: This position participates in a Career Progression Group.Vacancies may be filled from this recruitment as an Education Consultant 1/2/3 depending on the level of experience of the selected applicant.
Work Schedule:Work hours are Monday - Friday. Work hours will be determined.
Compensation:The salary offered will be determined based on qualifications and experience.
**Note regarding the advertised pay range:The Education Consultant series has a special entrance rate of $25.30 hourly $2024.00 biweekly which is above the minimum hire rate for these positions.The maximum amounts listed are the maximum salary amounts a person can make over their career and notthe maximum amount we are allowed to pay a new hire.
