Greenlife Healthcare Staffing is seeking an Adult Psychiatristto fill an opening in the KernBHRS department that provides specialty behavioral health services to Medi-Cal recipients and uninsured located in Kern County CA.
Requirements of theAdultPsychiatrist:
- Board Certification/Eligibility in General Psychiatry
- American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN) certified
- California Medical License: Active status with no disciplinaryactions13.
- DEA Certification: Required for antipsychotics and long-actinginjectables (e.g. clozapine).
Schedule of theAdultPsychiatrist:
- Full-Time (FTE):
- Shift: 8-hour day.
- Part-Time (PTE): Shift: 6 hours (e.g. 8:00 a.m. 3:00 p.m. excluding breaks).

Job Description:
Adult Psychiatrists manage treatment-resistantschizophrenia bipolar disorder and severe depression in outpatient andacute care settings. This role includes forensic responsibilities such as LPSAct evaluations and testimony in conservatorship hearings.
Job Responsibilitiesof theAdult Psychiatrist:
- Prescribe and monitor clozapine therapy for treatment-resistantschizophrenia including ANC monitoring and titration protocols.
- Lead biweekly multidisciplinary team meetings to coordinate care forhigh utilizers of crisis stabilization services.
- Complete capacity assessments for gravely disabled patients underWelfare & Institutions Code 5150/5250.
- Utilize long-acting injectables (LAIs) for medication non-adherenceincluding aripiprazole once-monthly and paliperidone palmitate.
