SUMMARY:
Works as an independent and compassionate healthcare provider collaborating with area Medical Oncologists to independently perform procedures such as Bone Marrow Biopsy Skin Punch Biopsy and other procedures as indicated. Other tasks include assessment of patients acquiring patient consent consults H&P patient education health promotion and care coordination of patients and families as needed.
PRIMARY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS & LICENSES:
Masters degree in nursing program OR graduate of a nationally accredited physician assistant program
Active unencumbered advanced registered nurse practitioner licensure in the State of Florida or physician assistant licensure
National Certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner or National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants
EXPERIENCE:
Minimum of two years of experience as an Advanced Practice Provider
Experience in Bone Marrow Biopsy Skin Punch Biopsy and other procedures preferred
