About the role

Were looking for a Front End Software Engineer with strong React experience and exposure to Java to join Matillions development team working on our cloud platform the DPC and integrating with our AI product Maia. Youll spend significant hands-on time building production services delivering high-quality features and contributing to the teams goals while learning and growing in a collaborative agile environment.

This is a hybrid role based in Manchester UK with minimum 2 days a week in the office. Youll have the chance to shape the product work with modern cloud technologies and grow your skills across the full software development lifecycle all while collaborating with a talented cross-functional team.

What you will be doing

Design develop test and release features for Matillions cloud platform using Java (11 ideally 17) and React following best practices in code quality scalability and security.
Collaborate with your team to understand requirements review code and deliver solutions that meet business goals.
Participate in research prototyping and exploring new technologies to drive innovation and improve development processes.
Support and maintain production services participating in monitoring incident resolution and on-call rotations as needed.
Continuously develop your skills contribute to knowledge sharing and help improve team practices processes and workflows.

What we are looking for

Strong React and Typescript experience with exposure to Java and a good understanding of OOP programming concepts and best practices
Experience across the full software development lifecycle including CI/CD deployment agile methodologies and cloud technologies (AWS preferred).
A collaborative solution-oriented mindset with the ability to work independently tackle technical challenges and contribute to cross-functional teams.
Curiosity motivation and attention to detail with a passion for data accuracy integrity and quality.
Strong problem-solving skills inquisitiveness and a growth mindset with the ability to balance the big picture while focusing on details.

At Matillion we are committed to providing competitive salaries in line with market standards. Our estimated compensation range for this position is 44000 - 66000 but the final salary will be based on your relevant skills experience and qualifications demonstrated in the hiring process.
