Job Summary
The Operations Team Leader is responsible for managing shop floor employees daily production and ensuring the achievement of key performance indicators and daily performance goals.
Duties and Responsibilities
Direct and coordinate the activities of Operation Technicians engaged in production
Responsible for planning and establishing work schedules assignments and production sequences to meet production goals
Confer with other supervisors and facility leaders to coordinate operations and activities within or between departments
Utilize continuous improvement methodologies to drive performance
Coordinate training for team members as required
Provide ongoing coaching and feedback to all team members
Ensure adherence to safety standards
Ensure adherence to quality Food Safety and GMPs in daily operations
Assess and provide direction for safety and quality issues
Manage daily attendance tasks
Maintain effective KPI measurement tracking and reporting
Ensure completion of all production related transactions and paperwork
Education/ Experience Requirements
Basic qualifications include:
HS Diploma / GED equivalent AND 3 years in a CP/Hills manufacturing environment OR Bachelors Degree
Preferred qualifications include:
Bachelors Degree
2 years supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment
Knowledge of SAP systems and FP&R standards
Proficiency with Google Suite applications
Ability to manage production activities resource allocation shift coordination and schedule management to meet production goals
Ensure adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Quality Assurance Food Safety initiatives safety policies and environmental health standards
Ability to communicate ideas clearly listen to others and promote efficient information flow
Ability to manage conflict seeking mutually beneficial solutions and effectively handling labor relations issues
Work collaboratively with internal and external partners communicate effectively with leadership and facilitate the transfer of best practices
Demonstrate leadership values inherently aligned with our companys Leadership Principles
Expected Areas of Skills
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)
Proficient Knowledge of FP&R HACCP GMPs and SPC
Excellent ability to multitask and prioritize duties
Proficient Computer skills including; Google Suite Applications and SAP
Ability to understand and apply finance and accounting principles
Excellent at identifying the underlying principles reasons or facts of information by breaking down information or data into separate parts for analysis
Excellent attention to detail
Excellent at using relevant information and individual judgment to determine whether events or processes comply with laws regulations policies or standards
Must be able to work in a standard office environment

Technical proficiency including:
Experience using ROI Continuous Improvement Tools or FMEA tools
Training others and conflict resolution
Presentation skills
Understanding of financial measures
Standards weights and measure requirements
AIB FDA USDA and other regulatory agency design requirements
Proficient in CPk and Continuous Improvement Methodologies
Ability to work a schedule supporting a 24/7 operation which may include nights weekends or holidays
Ability to be on call during off hours
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to work in a manufacturing environment including the ability to bend climb crawl kneel work in confined spaces work in hazardous condition spaces work in extreme weather conditions use hazardous materials and lift up to 50 lbs. on a continual basis
Be able to wear all required Fall Protection Equipment and all other PPE
Work at heights up to 300 ft
Climb multiple stairs throughout work shift to walk and be on feet at least 75% of the scheduled work shift
Ability to work irregular shifts including nights weekends holidays and be on call during off hours.

Compensation and Benefits
Salary Range $ - $ USD
Pay is determined based on experience qualifications and location. Salaried employees may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses profit-sharing and long-term incentives for Executive-level roles.
