Position Overview

The Illinois Department of Children and Family Services is seeking an organized professional and energetic individual to serve as Administrative Hearings Clerical Associate. Under direction this position will perform a variety of complex specialized confidential clerical duties. Utilizing DOS Microsoft Office Adobe and Rapid Redact software this position will review and redact confidential child abuse/neglect indicated CANTS investigations for appeals on a daily basis. The position will also enter and log incoming narrative reports and files in corresponding folders of appellants and in computer software data entry systems. This position provides a great opportunity for someone who is detail oriented and interested in playing a supporting role in the Departments operations. Essential Functions

  • Serves as Administrative Hearings Clerical Associate
  • Enters and logs incoming narrative reports and files in corresponding folders of appellants and in computersoftware data entry systems
  • Establishes and maintains electronic filing system to ensure that information is readily available for reference/viewing
  • Data enters appeal responses pertaining to the tracking of Appeal Child Abuse/Neglect files
  • Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumeratedabove

Minimum Qualifications

  • Requires knowledge skill and mental development equivalent to completion of high school
  • Requires 2 years of office experience
